New death toll: 425 deaths in China with Coronavirus

China’s state television said on Tuesday that 64 new deaths from coronavirus infection have been recorded in the central province of Hubei, bringing the total number to 425 deaths by the end of February 3.

And 2,345 new cases of the virus were detected in Hubei, the epicenter of the outbreak, bringing the total number of people infected in the region to 13522 cases.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Monday that the country is in urgent need of medical protective masks to confront Corona, while the horrific virus is still spreading in the country, claiming more victims. "What China urgently needs is medical masks, protective clothing, and goggles," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Shenyang said in a press briefing.

Also, China criticized the United States strongly for imposing restrictions on the entry of Chinese citizens to its territory due to the emerging virus, and accused Washington of "causing and spreading panic". Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Shenyang said the United States "did not provide significant assistance" and was "the first to evacuate its consulate crew from" Wuhan ", and imposed entry restrictions on Chinese travelers."

Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus, and other cities are still isolated, with severe travel restrictions, and China is also facing increasing international isolation due to restrictions on flights to and from the country. At least 171 other injuries have been reported in more than twenty other countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Britain.

Besides, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a global emergency, but it played down the importance of imposing restrictions on trade and travel.
